2205 Duplex Steel Pipe Fittings

Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel contains 22% chromium and 5% nickel with the addition of molybdenum is used in applications requiring good oxidation resistance and strength. The UNS S32205 Stainless Steel is categories in both ferrite and austenitic group of stainless steel. 2205 Duplex Steel possesses excellent corrosion resistance that is far better than SS 316.

Moreover, these grade products can easily weld using standard welding methods with filler materials. Additional nitrogen provides a shielding effect during the welding process. The machinability of 2205 Duplex Steel is very low because of high strength, which is much lower than 304 grades.
